This is a custom order for the full leather rebinding of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit (India paper deluxe editions).

Specification:

• Leather: Black goat, full binding

• Spine: Direct gilt-tooled titling + custom JRRT monogram (new brass die)

• Front covers: Blind debossed decoration (using existing LOTR & Hobbit dies)

• Page edges: Trimmed and painted in red

• Repairs: Minor Japanese tissue stabilisation to LOTR first page & Hobbit fold-out map

Base price (pair): £500

Additional work:

• Repairs: £20

• Painted red edges: £60

• Custom JRRT monogram die: £50

• Blind debossed front covers: £50

Total project cost: £680

This listing is for the 50% deposit (£340) to secure the order and cover materials. The remaining balance (£340) will be payable upon completion, prior to shipping.

Estimated turnaround: Work scheduled into my current commissions queue for 2026 production - February slot allocated
